There's no one-size-fits-all plan for turning the cloud into business value, but some enterprises aren't even sure where to start.
Public, hybrid and private clouds can almost always prove their worth in terms of pricing and flexibility, but in order to reap these benefits, enterprises are now relying on MSPs to tailor solutions to their business priorities and data usage.
The days of simply repurposing and reselling existing in new markets, or repackaging products from legacy vendors, are over. Instead, MSPs are taking the lead in the enterprise, creating new intellectual property and driving innovation.
A major factor in establi/shing this new era for service providers is cloud economics, but this trend plays out differently for every enterprise. For example, IDC reports that 51 percent of organizations using compute and storage hosted by Amazon Web Services are moving the services back on premise or to other service providers, with 58 percent of that number having found better prices offered by third-party providers.
