This year’s New England Venture Capital Association NEVY awards was another celebration of what makes the Boston tech and innovation scene so great.
Although, much of the crowd was somewhat distracted by what was happening in the Bruins game, the awards still took center stage. One of the biggest wins of the night was by Fashion Project in the “Hottest Startup” category.
Anna Palmer and Christine Rizk of Fashion Project said, “It was amazing, it confirms what we have been doing.”
Eric Paley, who won the “Rising VC” category was complimentary of the other finalists in the category he won in, going as far as saying that, “Ryan Moore (from Atlas) should have won.”
However, it was a bit awkward when General Catalyst, who is involved in some political muck and mire with recent revelations about Charlie Baker and contributions to New Jersey’s Republican party, won “Fund of the Year.”
