ClearSky Data was founded with a few straightforward ideas in mind: traditional enterprise storage doesn’t have to be the only option. The problem with storage boxes isn’t one you can solve with silos, complexity and software. Instead, it’s freedom from the storage treadmill, complete elasticity and a true “aaS” model for all data that will help improve TCO for today’s data-intensive enterprises.
From the start, our channel partners have been critical to making this idea reality. Since early partners and customers shared their initial feedback about our global storage network, we’ve seen how enterprise storage, delivered as a fully managed service, can go beyond our original idea of cutting ties with physical storage costs. Customers are now using ClearSky to accelerate hybrid cloud initiatives, manage growing stores of IoT and machine data, reduce reliance on secondary data center sites, and access all their data, anywhere it’s needed. Today, as we begin working with new partners and watch these use cases grow and expand, feedback about our service continues to inform our direction, the new projects our customers tackle, and the answer to this ultimate question: When organizations free themselves from the constraints of traditional storage, what opportunities move into reach?
Recently, Channel Partners named ClearSky Data one of 10 hot startups in the channel. The list is filled with groundbreaking storage, cloud and data center services companies, with the majority based in Silicon Valley – and two, ClearSky included, based in the greater Boston area. Although each organization on the list aims for a different goal within the industry, each one is working to disrupt the status quo of an established industry. In many industries, progress is a result of long-standing norms becoming challenged – and as this continues to take place in the channel and enterprise technology as a whole, we’re looking forward to seeing the changes and growth that occur as a result.
Break free from traditional storage with ClearSky’s elastic storage as a service and access all your data, anywhere.
